​Good evening AES families. Today is Sunday, February 23rd.

This week is Theme Week at AES. Each day we will have some fun with identified themes (see your February Calendar).

Tomorrow is Pink Shirt Day. Wearing a pink shirt shows that students at AES will not tolerate bullying. Some students and staff have purchased the 2020 pink shirt with the logo 'It Isn't Rocket Science'. These shirts will be available in the morning. If you did not purchase one of the t-shirts, feel free to wear a pink shirt from home instead. Our Friendly Helpers will be presenting an Anti-Bullying message in a whole-school assembly in the afternoon. Thank you to Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Waddell who made this all possible.

A note about our Theme Days: Monday is Pink Shirt Day; Tuesday is Crazy Hair Day; Wednesday is Favourite T-Shirt Day. There will be a change to Thursday and Fridays' themes. Thursday will be Winter Carnival Day (postponing PJ Day to Friday). We will have a number of outdoor activities happening on the school grounds including sleigh rides, relay races, and a dog-sled demonstration. We are excited to embrace the Canadian winter and celebrate all that it can offer us. A big thank you to Mrs. Surrett for sourcing out and planning these activities, to SCES who has loaned us equipment, and to our AES Home & School who has helped to fund these special activities.

Friday's theme will be PJ Day.
